No. 3: Caroline Picard, Lindsey Dorr-Niro & Lisa Vinebaum

THIS WEEK ON | Documented Dialogues > is a conversation between curator Caroline Picard and artists Lindsey Dorr-Niro & Lisa Vinebaum.

The conversation takes place at Sector 2337, and investigates the relationships between aesthetic form and historical content, material references and site specificity, and precarious utility and labor production.

What platforms and models might emerge when the strategies of appropriation create reconfiguring conditions?

Documented Dialogues facilitates alternative and auxiliary forms of artist interviews. Rather than simply asking a formulaic set of questions and consequently editing the generated content down, Documented Dialogues serves as an intermediary between individuals, with explicit concerns in the arts, and the broader arts community. By taking advantage of often ever-present technology and media, the project aims to present conversations as they emerge by utilizing the strategies of networked communication.

Documented Dialogues is produced and designed by Matt Mehlan and David Hall. A new conversation will be featured in each of CAR’s Bi-Weekly Newsletters

Upcoming are (mediated) discussions from: Selina Trepp & Jesse MalmedHausu Mountain & Matt Mehlan, Jordan Martins, Tselanie Townsend, & Brett SwinneyTim Kinsella & Brian Case; and more.
