Box Gallery is the curatorial project of Chicago-area artist Richard Medina. The experimental gallery space takes the form of a 6" x 6" x 6" cardboard box. Artists are asked to respond to the unique constraints of the box, and create work that activates the interior of the space.
We are now accepting exhibition proposals for the winter/spring. Please submit a short description of your proposed exhibition to email@example.com with your bio and CV. Remember: the space is 6" x 6" x 6" and made of cardboard. As Box Gallery is inherently mobile and transient, the location for the opening can be incorporated into the proposal, but it is not required. Deadline November 1st.
See boxgallery.weebly.com for images of past shows and more information. Send all submission materials to Richard at firstname.lastname@example.org.
