Development and Communications Manager | Classical Kids Music Education

Classical Kids is seeking a part-time (10 hours/week) Development and Communications Manager to help our organization grow in our musical mission.


Position Responsibilities

-Manage all funding and development efforts for the organization

-Compose grant applications and reports for foundations and government sources

-Research and pursue corporate sponsorship opportunities

-Lead individual giving campaigns with the assistance of the Development and Communications Committee

-Create written content for campaigns, including email blasts, personalized postcards, and thank you letters

-Work with Marketing and Events Committee to coordinate logistics of fundraising events

-Develop and analyze program evaluations 

-Maintain the development and communications calendar

-Manage Mailchimp email list and Nationbuilder donor database

-Report fundraising progress to Board of Directors at quarterly meetings

-Work closely with the Executive and Artistic Director to create funding plans for upcoming programs


Skills & Qualifications: 

-Bachelor’s degree

-2+ years experience in nonprofit fundraising preferred

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Ability to work well independently as well as with other collaborators

-Positive and professional attitude with excellent attention to detail

-Interest in theatre, music, and education
