POSITION TITLE:  Management Associate

At Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, we bring artists, art and audiences together to enrich, engage, and change lives through the experience of dance. 
We are seeking a smart, proactive and mission-driven individual to join Hubbard Street’s General Management (GM) department as the Management Associate. Reporting to the Company Manager (CoMan), this position is part of a small collective team that is responsible for line producing all production and touring activities for a $6.5M company, in addition to overseeing operations, finance, human resources, facilities and IT. Primary responsibilities include music rights negotiation, artists’ visa coordination, calendar management, financial recordkeeping and developing and expanding internal organizational systems to best support the organization and department.  This position provides additional support to other General Management staff as necessary.
Skills & Qualifications: 


Support CoMan in licensing and contracting choreographers, assistants, and designers. Update contract and other departmental status charts. 
Support equity, diversity and inclusion initiative for the organization, alongside other members of the GM department.
Support CoMan in company management and artist hospitality responsibilities. 
Support department in researching, securing and managing music rights.
Coordinates visas for foreign artists, including dancers, choreographers, designers and assistants. 
Lead and support efforts in developing and expanding comprehensive departmental and/or organizational systems that result in maximum integration and efficiencies (examples: master schedule/calendar, reconciliation process).
Maintain accurate records of department expenditures.
Build budgets based on existing templates and provide budget creation support. 
Schedule meetings and keep CoMan’s and GM’s calendars up to date. 
Assist with coordination of various company-wide events. 
Other duties as assigned.
